My mom caught me in the middle of a drug deal I was doing with one of my buds from the Hood. It was stupid of me, because we were crossin’ palms right there in broad daylight. I’m thinking one of the neighbors had dropped a dime on my sorry ass- but, whatever- Mom came trotting down the street looking really pissed. She’d been busting my chops about me not having a job for the summer and this was the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s hump. I mean, she was livid. I couldn’t figure out why my buddy was so relaxed around Jami (That’s what he called her, by her first name.) until later on that week when I found out she had met him before and they actually verbally teased each other. Mom was always overprotective of me and told me that if she ever caught me doing drugs, there would be hell to pay! I can’t go into details of what happened after that encounter on the street, because it makes me kind of bawl just thinking about it. I won’t say much more, except to say that after that day, I never wanted to do drugs again. Oh, and by the way- because I’m such a techie freak, the cameras are always rolling in my house- and this is what they picked up.
